O ROCK

Ouvindo profundamente e com muita propriedade o Rock, o Psicodelismo e a Contra-Cultura Norte Americana dos final dos anos 60 entrando no Festival da ilha de Wight e WoodStock, vejo que os jovens de hoje nem sabe o que é Rock and Roll. Eles não viveram esse tempo fecundo de explosão, social, artísitco-cultural e diga-se: com Rock de qualidade; e não só Rock não. Despontaram valores em todos os meios musicais ..... nós fomos premiados com Musicos como Alvin Lee, Jimmy Hendrix, Joe Cocker e tantos outros que vieram no rastro dos Beatles e que geraram o English Hard Rock, o Progressive Rock e tantas outras vertentes que foram universalizadas no som de grandes nomes do Rock como Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, Uriah Heep, Kansas etc.... Você conseguia sentir a atitude e perceber que a Musica ou a letra da musica era de protesto, rebeldia que incitava novos valores e dava um chute na hipocrisia e todos tipo de radicalismo! O Flower Power pode não ter sido uma maravilha para os Pais de uma sociedade Americana conservadora, mas veio a quebrar as cadeias de hipocrisia de dentro da escola e do sistema institucional. As pessoas que escutavam aquela musica foram as pessoas que tiveram coragem de mandar o presidente ir à merda em praça pública, coisa que nunca se fêz nesse país de vacas de presépio! O rock foi a arma de protesto e bandeira para se levar uma sociedade desgastada à diante, mudando conceitos e valores ....

Listening deeply and with great propriety Rock, Psychedelia and the North American Counter-Culture of the late '60s going into the Isle of Wight Festival and Woodstock, I see that young people today even know what Rock and Roll. They have not experienced this fruitful time of explosion, social, artistic, cultural and tell yourself: Rock with quality, and not only not Rock.  Values emerged in all the musical means ..... we were rewarded with musicians like Alvin Lee, Jimmy Hendrix, Joe Cocker and many others who came in the wake of the Beatles and that generated Inglês Hard Rock, Progressive Rock and many other aspects that have been universalized in the sound of rock greats like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, Uriah Heep, Kansas, etc. ....
You could feel the attitude and realize that the music or the lyrics of the song was a protest, rebellion that incited new values and gave a kick to the hypocrisy and all kind of radicalism!
The Flower Power movement may not have been a boon for parents of an American conservative society, but came to break the chains of hypocrisy within the school and the institutional system. People who listened to that song were the people who had the courage to send the President to go to shit in public, something never done in this country of cow crib! The rock was the weapon of protest and a banner to lead the society on eroded, changing concepts and values ....
